If I could give them a zero, I would bought a truck with lowering suspension with pictures then when I receive the truck, no lowering suspension and no communication very misleading
As you can see in the pictures, I purchased a truck with a lowering suspension as described, then received the truck with no lowering suspension at all and no communication

Car purchase
Just returned To Canada after flying down to North Shore Classics to check out a 1969 Camaro that the website said was investment grade and that the car shows and drives great. I went down with cash In hand and transport back to Canada prearranged to purchase the car but was left very disappointed with the true condition of the car.
This car is nowhere near an investment grade car. If this car was bought at an auction with the buyer not having any repercussion on the purchase, they would be very disappointed. The car looks great from 5 ft away, but a closer look shows orange peel texture from a $23000 dollar paint job as described on the website. Website says updated stereo, but has a broken antenna and stereo not working.
Suspension was very stiff and unforgiving, the clutch worn and in desperate need of replacement, throw out bearing very stiff, window seals poorly installed with lots of wind noise, center console loose and making noise, rear end making clunking noise on take off.
Rear back up lights not working.
Driving experience was very disappointing and completely uncomfortable. This experience has left me wondering how people can buy cars online without physically seeing the vehicle in person
Lied to me cheated me and financially raped me.
When I bought the 1968 mustang white over red convertible it looked beautiful. However I did not have the knowledge to have the car inspected prior to getting it.
It needed warped - replaced steering wheel replaced hood painted to match car door rust finished rear chrome missing power steering not working brakes not working, correction one out of four brake worked gave me two convertible top boots that did not match. The car stalled when you drove it and came to a stop. Both rear quarter panels were full of mud that you could feel under the fenders wells. {{Redacted}} the owner is as big a liar and thief as the rest of his crew.
I do not understand how these people stay in business they were unethical dishonest lying thieves and as far as I'm concerned way way overpriced. {{Readcted}} said he would fix the car had it for 6 months and did only the very very basics until I finally got pissed and just told him to buy it from me. from the $27,000 I paid for this car I got $1,700 back. Gave me the Vaseline.
Regardless of your wants and desires stay away from this company. I wish I could yell this from the rooftops everyday from their location. By the way did I mention I needed to have the transmission rebuilt.
When you buy a classic car hire someone off site and independent license car inspector prior to buying. Get a hundred pictures literally.
BAD EXPERIENCE
I consigned my 1969 Camaro car, {{Redacted}} Sold it less than I agreed for and then FORGED my signature on the title-,DO NOT CONSIGN YOUR CAR HERE
RIP OFFS, We are in Court proceedings, You have been warned, Very Rude and unprofessional. Hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Verified ReviewerAuto Purchased Not As Advertised
- The dealer website posted the car was in running order with the normal wear and tear, which was not the case for the mechanical aspects on this vehicle itself- this is a big part of the actual sale itself.
- This is an out of state consignment for many buyers, I understand but the transparency of the ad for each vehicle should be present in the ad, this was not the case. The car was delivered not running.
It did not start and stay on to even for the short drive home from the agreed spot for delivery.
- Now if you are going to think red flags, let me start by saying that this shop made a very clever way of concealing the actual status of the car at time of sale. Again, this dealer is advertising for all over the US not just local, the least they can disclose is what the buyer is actually agreeing to buying.
- Lets now talk about the personnel, the sales point of contact lied about being employed after the sale when I tried to contact him to get some detail on why the car was not running. Bluntly told no longer employed when this was incorrect. The sales guy still works there when I talked to the office regarding the mess of the title (this is a completely different headache) that was given to me.
The title was not clean and still needed to have chasing done due to the previous owner and lienholder not cleared which, couldve been done way in advance being that the car was in their inventory for well over 180 days. I understand the process for title work, but this is lack of preparation on a sellers part.
- I have read their reviews on their website, which I am convinced is bias. When you must comb through to make sure that each one is a positive one and not a realistic one speaks volume on how you are advertising.
- I am giving it a 1star because truly, this has been a horrible buying experience to date. The car still doesnt run as advertised which is a pity as the price-tag was not cheap.
I put in more work in the car that I anticipated. This is not my first purchase for an older vehicle, so I know what Im getting into when buying.
In this instance I can say, was completely mis-led. High Caution before a buying here.
- Car not running when delivered
- Damage parts delay
- Late delivery of car after purchase

Resolved: Buyer Beware
Christy called us and after telling her our issues with the car she is working to get the issue resolved. We appreciate all of her help getting our car fixed.
I purchased a car from this company. I have had nothing but problems with the car.
I have a video saying car was in perfect condition and had no problems. Some of the problems - no gas cap, gauges do not work correctly, windshield whipper came completely off on first use, 10-12 paint chips / scratches, for a car that i was told had no scratches and i have a video of the sales person saying. And the worst part the car has an oil leak in the rear main seal. After speaking to several Mechanics the motor needs to come out to make the repairs.
And no i just don’t remove the transmission to repair, not on a Pontiac.
I was told the motor was just rebuilt with only 2500 miles. And yet i have a major oil leak.

Bad title on 69 camaro
I recently purchased a 69 camaro from them, when I took the title to the state title office to get the vehicle put in my name the Title office informed me that there was an open title in my state for the car that stated rebuilt salvage and the title North Shore provided was not legit and I would have to go to court to try and force the issue. I have contacted North shore classics multiple times and they have been unwilling to address the issue.
North Shore Classics owners only contact was only to say we sent a legit clean title and asked if I would remove negative feedback. i have pulled several reports on the vin number and none of them show the Title that North Shore provided only the previous title dating back to 2011 rebuilt salvage.
I would have never purchased the car knowing that it was rebuilt salvage buyer beware of North Shore Classics!!!!
Very bad experience
I bought a 1968 Mustang convertible from North Shore classic cars. Farm represented this car is being rebuilt.
So far this is the following problems I have had and had to fix, transmission with bad windshield motor went bad power steering went bad brakes went out heater doesn't work air conditioning won't work the top is not power as represented the body underneath is full of putty and heavily undercoated the front fenders are a different shade of red than the rest of the car. I have found a voice louder than my own, I am filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General.
Also with the Better Business Bureau. Listen guys don't take this lying down file a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General we have to put a stop to this lying Thief called Tom part owner of this establishment.
ZERO professionalism and terrible customer service
First off let me say in my opinion that the car I bought was a fair car at a fair price, I’m not here to complain about the car. There were a few problems with it but it is a used classic car.
My compliant is with the level of professionalism and customer service, ZERO!
It started when I walked in for the first time, I went there to look at another car that they had listed on the internet, when I saw it I was no longer interested, but the car next to it I liked.
I walked around the dealership for 30 minutes and was never approached or even greeted. I left went and had lunch and came back for 15 more minutes and still nothing, so I left. When I got home I called and spoke to Kevin, after a few phone calls we struck a deal on the car, which it turns out was on consignment. I was told if I wanted to test drive it I needed to leave a 500.00 deposit for them to move the car out of the showroom.
So I did and went in a few days later, this was the first time I was going to drive the car and end up buying it. When I walked in they were frantically working on it, 2 things that I asked and were deal breakers for me was that the hideaway headlights and the air conditioning work, I was assured they both did but when I walked in they were trying to repair the headlights. They did but they stop working the same day and cost me over 500.00 to repair as well as the a/c, it was February when I got the car and when it did get hot the a/c didn’t work as well, a 200.00 repair. So when the car was ready and the test drive over, I was ready to purchase the car, as soon as I handed over the cash I was told they “didn’t have the title” it was still with the owner and they would contact him and let me know.
I have never left that much cash for a car with no title and I found it very unusual and something I should have been told up front. It took several days for them to get it and a few more to mail it to me. At this point I should have just left but I didn’t. Also included as part of the deal was the numbers matching, original engine and transmission, which I found out were also with the owner.
Kevin agreed to pick up the engine and transmission and deliver them for me. We agreed that I would contact him in a few days to set it up. It began as just phone tag; I was told the original owner wasn’t calling him back. This went on for weeks.
Then he began dodging my calls, he was never available or able to come to the phone, it even got to the point where the office staff would pick up the phone and all I got was voicemail. I had to call over and over just to get someone to answer the phone. So after 2 months of being put off I finally asked to speak to whoever was in charge above Kevin, I was transferred to Tom, who I assumed was the owner. At first he seemed to be genuinely interested in solving the problem, but very quickly fell into the same pattern of not retuning calls.
It was so bad at one point that Kevin’s voicemail couldn’t accept any more calls. I finally threatened them with returning the car and breach of contract since not having this engine would significantly lower the value of the car and was part of the sales agreement. When I did finally get to speak to someone I asked for the number to the original owner.
It took me about 15 minutes to contact him, he told me exactly where to pick up the engine and only for my scheduling problems it took me about a week to get it delivered. For three months I was given the runaround by Kevin, tom ,and the office staff there, in fact they still don’t know I have the engine in my possession and I’m waiting for them to call me back.
Bad experience
It happened 3 years ago,I put the deposit down on a car he was supposed to build and he pawned me off to car builder that had all bad reviews,it took 3 and half years to complete,it took 2 months and thousands later to fix, that Tom should be jail, biggest con artist alive stay away
Total Pain to even try and communicate with
So, he is high bidder on an ebay auction. Auction rules were stated as well as numerous photos of the vehicle.
A deposit was required within 24 hours of auction end ( a refundable deposit should the deal not work out for any reason). He ignored this, did not contact me until after I sent emails asking him to call. I reported him as a unpaid with ebay and within minutes he sends me an email "send title, need tons of pix". I replied to just give me a call.
He sends more single word emails, refuses to call me. The car is in storage and I have to move several other cars to get it out for photos. I just wanted him to tell me what he needed photos of, not a vague "tons of pix". Also, the auction asked for payment by check or money order, I don't do bank wires, he insists to pay by bank wire.
I have been on ebay since 1997 with over 4000 positive feebbacks, not one negative feedback until this guy. He leaves feedback saying I lied about the car's condition which is a total lie. He has ruined the sale of the car on ebay now and ruined a perfect feedback history.
All I ever requested was for him to give me a call so we could work out the details. This guy should be avoided at all costs!

Verified ReviewerUnsafe Classic Vehicles
I bought a 67 Chevelle from North Shore Classics in late 2016. First They said rust free, it was not!
Second and most importantly is the safety of the vehicle before they sell to consumers. I got my Chevelle only to find the steering wheel fell off in the middle of the night, not only can one not drive with a steering wheel but it fell off because it was held on the steering column with GLUE!
If it would have fell off while I was driving I'd be injured or worse!! Take heed and buy your classic somewhere else.
Steal Car Ads from Private Parties on Craigslist
This dealership steals pictures and ads from Craigslist of vehicles of private parties and lists them as their consignment cars! They have NO contract with the owners and they then mark up the price!
My car ad was stolen by them and I have it listed at $25k and they have it listed for $32,500. I called and posed as a customer once I discovered what they were doing and spoke with Scott. I said I wanted to see the car. They told me that the vehicle is on their offsite consignment lot and they may have to have it shipped in.
I told them I WAS the owner of that car! These people are in IL. I am in TX!
If there is NO contract, it is FRAUD! I have had to call all the websites that list cars for sale and speak with their fraud departments to have MY vehicle removed from their sites.

Bought a car from them now called northshore classics. Paid 34000.00 ran it for 12 min and got rear main seal leak transmision sela leaks engine that has a rod knock no oil pressure and a frame on the car that is no good.
Anyone else that has or had problems please go on line and submit a complaint to the FTC there state attorney general and the illinois state attorney general. Again it can all be done on line.
If youve been screwed by theses people then complain the more there is the better chance of the FTC will crawl up there ***. And do not use this business there are reputable classic car dealers out there and dont do business with a salesman named kevin extremely deceptive untrustworthy and you wont here from him once they got your money

The guy who posted above you purchased a car sight unseen with predictable results. It was wise of you you to be prepared to buy and remove, but even wiser to look first.
